India – Bangladesh sign Historic land Boundary agreement deal

As we all know, Narendra Modi began his 2 day visit, his maiden, to Bangladesh on Saturday and within the evening, the two countries have reached a historic agreement to settle a decades old land boundary dispute through a mutual exchange of territories between them.

There were a total of 161 enclaves exchanged between the two countries, with 111 going to Bangladesh and 51 becoming a part of India. This enables the settlement of the question of citizenship for over 50,000 people who were a part of these territories, a major landmark indeed.
